Hi,
so after setting up your first school via
1) Admin Menu > Schools:
select all defaults to have a school created with curriculum and grades & subjects
2) add your students via Admin Menu ->School Members
here you will add all Students & Teachers etc
3) back to Main -> School Activities:
add your first activity by 'checkin in' into a subject by selecting a Course Unit and or other Activities.
4) optional, record extra activities via Assignments
